{Benefits of the Cross} Blood Day 1

Here we go!! As I had mentioned earlier, in this study, we will be studying the benefits of the cross by looking up words, that pertain to the cross, in the concordance, and then looking up each of those verses, and claiming the benefit that Jesus gave us.

Here is the process that we will use for this study: First, I decided that a good way to start would be with the word BLOOD.  I looked up this word in the concordance and selected some verses containing the word blood.  Next, I used the you version Bible, which allows you to look up verses in many different versions of the Bible to look up the first verse. After reading the verse, I ask myself, "What is the benefit of the cross mentioned in this verse?" Finally, after finding the benefit, I make a Faith Statement and claim that promise/benefit! So Let's get started!!

Verse: Matthew 26:28

Matthew 26:28 (KJV)
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Matthew 26:26-29 (MSG)
This is my blood, God's new covenant poured out for many people for the forgiveness of sins.
Benefit: Christ's blood forgives sins.
Faith Statement: Because of your blood, I stand forgiven.

Tomorrow's Verse:  Acts 20:28
